"Enroll & Win" giveaway — terms & conditions

1 Who can enter

Open to individuals resident in India who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected with the Giveaway are not eligible. One person may hold multiple entries only as described in clause 3; duplicate or fraudulent entries are void.

2 Promotion period

The Giveaway opens on 4 September 2026 and closes on 30 September 2026 at 23:59 IST. Entries received after the closing time will not be counted. The Promoter's clock is the official timekeeper.

3 How to enter — two ways, equal chance

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. There are two entry routes, and each valid entry has an equal chance in the draw:

• Paid route: enrol in a Full or Premium plan on howyoutalk.com during the promotion period — this automatically creates one entry.
• Free route (no purchase necessary): submit the free-entry form at howyoutalk.com/giveaway with your name, email and phone during the promotion period — this creates one entry, with the same chance of winning as a paid entry.

You are entered into the prize pool matching your track (see clause 4). Purchasing does not increase your chance of winning beyond a single entry.

4 Prizes

Two prize pools. You are entered into the pool for the track you signed up under; if unclear, the Promoter assigns your pool reasonably.

Prizes are as stated, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash except where the Promoter chooses to pay a cash equivalent. Fee prizes (OET/NMC) are paid to the official body or reimbursed on proof; subscriptions are to the How you Talk product. The Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize becomes unavailable.

5 The draw

Winners are selected at random from all valid entries in each pool, in a draw held during the first week of October 2026, supervised by the Promoter's management. The number of winners is as stated in clause 4.

6 Notification & claiming

Winners will be contacted by email and phone within 7 days of the draw and announced on howyoutalk.com and the Promoter's social channels (first name + city only). A winner must respond and provide any required details (ID, and for a travel prize, valid documents) within 14 days. If a winner cannot be reached or does not respond within that time, the Promoter may draw a replacement.

7 Taxes

Winners are responsible for all taxes on their prize. Under Indian law, prize winnings may be taxable and subject to tax deducted at source (TDS). For any prize where TDS applies, the Promoter may require the winner to deposit the applicable tax, or deduct it, before the prize is released. The Promoter will issue the relevant tax documents.

8 Data & privacy

Details you provide are used to administer the Giveaway and to contact you, and are handled per the How you Talk howyoutalk.com/privacy. By entering you agree the Promoter may publish a winner's first name and city.

9 General

• The Promoter's decisions on all matters relating to the Giveaway are final and binding.
• The Promoter may amend these terms, or suspend/cancel the Giveaway, for reasons beyond its reasonable control, or if fraud or abuse is suspected.
• To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss arising from participation or from accepting a prize.
• This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Google or YouTube.

10 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gurgaon, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction. Promoter contact: hello@howyoutalk.com.
